Short version: you can read every guide on this site without giving us anything. We only hold an email address if you typed one in.
You do not need an account to read anything here. We use Google Analytics to understand which guides people find useful — how many visits a page gets, roughly where in the world they came from, and which search or link sent you. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser and processes your IP address to do this. We do not use it for advertising, and we do not sell or share what it collects.
If you would rather not be counted, Google publishes a browser add-on that opts you out of Analytics on every site that uses it, at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Most browsers also let you block or clear cookies for individual sites, which has the same effect here.
Like any website, ours is served by infrastructure that keeps short-lived technical logs — IP address, browser type, the page requested — for security and reliability. Hosting is provided by Vercel and our database by Neon; both process this data on our behalf, as does Google for the analytics described above.
Subscribing stores your email address and the date you gave it, nothing else. It is used to email you when a new guide is published. We do not sell it, rent it, or pass it to anyone else, and every email we send will include a way to unsubscribe.
The contact form stores your name, email address and message so we can read it and reply. It is not used for marketing and is not shared.
Screenshots are hosted by us. Guides sometimes link out to a vendor's own documentation; those sites have their own privacy practices and this policy does not cover them.
You can ask us at any time what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted, and we will do it. Use the contact page — say what you want removed and it will be removed.
If this site starts using advertising, a third-party email provider, or anything else that changes what is collected, this page will be updated to say so. Last updated August 2026, when Google Analytics was added.
